Teens are invited to earn volunteer hours at Garland Central Library by helping to monitor our slide. Your duties will be to remind children to:
- Clear the slide landing for the next person
- Walk on their way back to the top of the slide
- Keep their noise to a reasonable level
While we expect the general noise of kids being excited, we want to discourage screaming as they play on the slide.
This volunteer opportunity is for ages 12-18 only. Volunteers will sign in for their shift downstairs at the Children's Desk.
➡️PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept volunteers that are fulfilling court-mandated service hours.
Note: If you cannot attend your volunteer shift, please cancel it online or call Central Library at 972-205-2501 to let us know so we can cancel the shift.
