Join us for another exciting summer with Club Curiosity! Every week in June, Garland Libraries will host performers for entertaining family events! Central Library will present the following events:
- Sci-Tech Discovery: Invisible Forces: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 4
- Mike Williams Magic Show: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 11
- Dr. Lon Science Show: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18
- Dino Bo: 2:30 p.m. Thursday, June 25
Volunteers will arrive at 2:00 p.m. to help with any final set-up tasks. During the event, you'll help with counting attendance and crowd management. After the event, we will clean up, tear down the room as necessary, and assist the performers with gathering their equipment
This volunteer opportunity is for:
- Ages 12 - 17 only.
- Individual volunteers and NOT for groups. For questions about group volunteering, please contact the Site Supervisor.
- 2 hour shifts. Longer shifts need to be preapproved by Site Supervisor. Volunteers will sign in for their shift at the Children's Desk.
➡️If you cannot attend your volunteer shift, please cancel it online or call us at 972-205-2586 to let us know. If you have three no-call no-show occurrences with the Garland libraries, we will delete your future shifts and you will no longer be permitted to volunteer at any of the library branches.
➡️PLEASE NOTE: We do not accept volunteers that are fulfilling court-mandated service hours.
