Volunteer Garland is seeking community members interested in assisting City of Garland departments with temporary office support projects during regular business hours. These opportunities may include filing, organizing documents, data entry, assembling packets, assisting staff with administrative projects, event preparation, phone support, or other general office tasks.
This is an interest sign-up list only. By registering, you are requesting to be contacted when office support opportunities become available. A separate registration may be required for each volunteer assignment.
Most projects are short-term opportunities lasting one or two days, though some may develop into ongoing volunteer positions based on department needs and volunteer availability.
Volunteers should:
- Have basic computer knowledge
- Be comfortable working in an office environment
- Possess general office or administrative skills
- Be dependable, professional, and courteous
Typical volunteer shifts occur during standard City business hours:
Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Volunteer Garland understands that schedules vary. Staff will contact volunteers about opportunities and work around individual availability whenever possible.
