Help the Garland Libraries start summer off right with the Club Curiosity Summer Kickoff Party!
We are celebrating the beginning of summer and our 2nd year of Club Curiosity with a fun party at the Garland Central Library! From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. the library will have games, crafts, prizes, and more for families with children of all ages to enjoy! Volunteers for this event will be assigned to various duties, including:
- Monitoring/resetting carnival games
- Supervising/helping children with crafts at multiple stations
- Cleaning up trash and wiping down tables as necessary after the event is completed
This volunteer opportunity is for ages 12-18 only. All volunteers must have all waivers completed and signed, including the linked guardian account waiver.
Agenda:
- 9:30 AM to 9:50 AM: Volunteer sign-in, station assignments, and assisting in prepping for start of event.
- 9:50 AM to 10 AM: Group photos
- 10 AM to 11:30 AM: Volunteers work at assigned stations
- Breaks for water and shade (for those working outside) are included.
- 11:30 AM to 12 PM: Clean up and sign out
➡️If you cannot attend your volunteer shift, please cancel it online or call us at 972-205-2501 to let us know (during library open hours). If you have three no-call no-show occurrences, we will delete your future shifts and you will no longer be permitted to volunteer at any of the four Garland libraries.
