Event Details

Date: Saturday, March 14
Time: 9:00 to 11:00 am
Arrival: 8:30 am for sign-in and review of rules and safety guidelines

(Mapleridge dead ends three blocks east of Shiloh Road)
**Volunteers must be picked up by 11:15 am**

Join us at Spring Creek Park Preserve for a hands-on native plant restoration workday. Volunteers will help re-establish native plants that were carefully dug and relocated from Halff Park last fall and have been overwintering in the City of Garland greenhouse.

This is a great opportunity for high school students and new-class Master Naturalists to gain field experience, with the initial sign-up shared through a private link. If space remains, registration will open to the general public.

Volunteer Details

  • Ages 16 and older

  • Close-toe shoes required

  • Long pants and long sleeves strongly recommended

  • Bring water, work gloves, and snacks

  • Shovels with a long, slim blade such as a sharp shooter or root slayer are welcome

Photos from the greenhouse and planting tools will be shown below.
