Teens can earn community service hours by volunteering at the Garland Central Library! Help us throw our annual Fun Fright Fiesta by helping with games and set up/breakdown. This fun Halloween-themed event for families will run from 2:30-4pm and will feature games, face painting, a snack cake walk, pumpkin painting, piñata breaking, and crafts. Teens will be assigned a specific station and stay at that station for the whole duration unless directed otherwise.
Duties include:
- Setting up your game/craft station and other stations as needed before event starts
- Supervising your game or craft station and replenishing supplies/candy as needed
- Handing out candy to all participants
- Helping with break down and clean up after the program is done
This volunteer opportunity is for ages 12-18 only.
Volunteers will sign in for their shift downstairs at the Children's Desk.
Note: If you cannot attend your volunteer shift, please cancel it online or call Central Library at 972-205-2501 to let us know so we can cancel the shift.
