Parks & Recreation Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteering with Parks & Recreation is a great way to give back while having fun! Whether you want to help maintain beautiful parks, assist with exciting events, or support recreational programs, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.
What Parks & Recreation Volunteers Do:
- Park Maintenance & Beautification – Help plant trees, flowers, and gardens, clean up parks and trails, and enhance playgrounds and recreational areas.
- Sports & Recreation Programs – Assist with youth sports leagues, support events, or serve as an instructor on a specialty of your choice.
- Community Events & Festivals – Volunteer at special events, outdoor movie nights, and other city-sponsored events by helping with setup, guiding guests, or running activity stations.
- Outdoor Education & Activities – Support nature programs, hiking clubs, and summer camps by leading activities, providing instruction, or assisting with guided tours.
- Arts & Enrichment Programs – Help with arts and crafts workshops, activities, and creative learning experiences for children and families.
- Animal & Wildlife Conservation – Get involved with local nature preserves, help care for park wildlife, or support educational programs about conservation and sustainability.
