We’re looking for caring volunteers to join CODE CARES for a neighborhood project that will make a real difference. The neighborhood has a drainage ditch that accumulated branches and litter over time. We're going to help. Volunteers will help remove wood debris and junk clogging a drainage ditch along the back alley, improving safety, drainage, and neighborhood conditions. This project is conducted in partnership with Garland Code Compliance. Project DetailsDate: Saturday, January 31, 2026 (Rain or shine) Time: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Location: 4303 Burning Tree Ln, Garland, TX Point of Contact: Josue Diaz, Volunteer Garland Partner Department: Code Compliance, Parks and Recreation, Stormwater, Sanitation Project DescriptionVolunteers will help: Remove wood debris, junk, and obstructions from a drainage ditch along the back alley Stack debris neatly for City pickup Assist with general cleanup to restore safe water flow Volunteers Needed 75 - 100 Volunteers No carpentry experience required — general labor Recommended Tools (if available)If you have these tools, bring them to the project site. It's okay if you don't.
