Special Second Saturdays (3 times a year)
Second Saturday in November: Food Drive
Second Saturday in December: Warm Drive with hot cocoa
Second Saturday in April (Earth Day): Animal Shelter donation drive

On special Second Saturdays, donation drives run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cleanup ends at 11 a.m. Extended time is open for donation collection.
Volunteers are welcome to donate and may earn extra service hours through donations.

Skatepark Respect is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the cleanliness and maintenance of skateparks by raising awareness within the skating community, organizing cleanup events, and encouraging responsible behavior to combat negative stereotypes about skaters and keep skateparks in good condition; essentially, they aim to foster a culture of respect for public skateparks through community involvement and action.

Volunteer: Self Directed Litter Cleanups

Self Directed Litter Cleanup Program

The City of Garland's Volunteer Office holds guided litter cleanups once a month. The registration for those opportunities will be listed separately on the Get Connected website.

If you want to clean up litter alone, we can help you. Our safety program trains you, provides supplies, and location. 

First Time Experience

Contact the volunteer office for safety training.Schedule a time and date at least a week ahead of time to pick up supplies and location. Schedule yourself online so you track your hours.

The Volunteer Office is located at 525 Tower Street and is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Please contact the office at 972-205-3583 or email Volunteer@GarlandTx.org to schedule your visit in advance.

North Texas Community Cleanup Challenge - March 1st - May 31st

Join us in making a difference across our region by participating in the North Texas Community Cleanup! Volunteers of all ages are invited to help remove litter, beautify our neighborhoods, and protect our local parks, creeks, and roadways. Whether you come as an individual, family, or group, your time and effort will help create a cleaner, healthier community for everyone.
